Nestled just steps from Central Park, Sarabeth's Central Park South is a charming American restaurant that has captured the hearts of both locals and tourists. With a reputation for its classic brunch offerings, diners rave about the atmosphere—warm lighting and bustling energy enhance the overall experience. Customers highlight standout dishes like the crispy bacon, tender pancakes, and inventive crab and guacamole, showcasing a menu filled with satisfying flavors. The brunch featured in many reviews, particularly the signature avocado toast, has been praised for its freshness and aesthetic appeal. That said, some reviews reflect a desire for stronger seasoning and more daring flavors, indicating that while the dining experience is enjoyable, there’s room for culinary enhancement. Overall, Sarabeth's combines a delightful ambiance with a menu that delivers comfort, making it a noteworthy stop for brunch enthusiasts. The experience is enhanced by attentive service, although it can feel hurried during peak times. We sat here on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t wait a single minute for three of us. They had a dinner pre-fix menu for 50, which included almost every item on their alacarte menu. The burger was decent, the salad and meatballs were good, and the crostata was a great finish. Overall, it was a good experience, and it’s a great spot for people-watching.

Came here on a trip to NY with my daughter and had breakfast here, very delicious breakfast and great service. I got the French toast, which I will say the first slice was still not ready to come of the griddle the egg was still very slimy but the other two slices were delicious. My daughter got the pancakes which were absolutely fantastic we both loved them. We also got sides of bacon and potato’s and they were great, I usually don’t like pig bacon but this bacon was delicious and crispy not full of fat

This is my 20th time or maybe more in Sarabeth’s. I visit since 2016 and this is the most favorite place in New York. They are very professional, breakfast and lunch very good. BUT; two years ago we ordered velvet tomato soup and we are talking about it since 2 years. It was fantastic and really giving the sense of velvet. When we ordered this time; we dissapointed. It’s a very regular soup and felt like such inside a can they putted in micro and served. Something has been changed in recipe or the chef has been changed. Other foods are very tasty and nice.

Outstanding brunch, and great service. Crab and avocado appetizer was light and fresh. Shrimp cocktail was beautiful but just okay. Pancakes and eggs were excellent, but (pork) bacon was "next level" - absolutely delicious. We tried the special Filet Mignon Benedict; it was tasty but the cut of steak didn't deserve filet status IMHO. On to dessert, the cheesecake was awesome. To drink, the Manhattan was so good I ordered a 2nd one. Ambience was nice but pretty standard for NYC - even though it's across from Central Park there's not much of a view. But don't let that stop you -- Make your reservations and don't miss this place..

Sarabeth’s Central Park South is a popular brunch destination in New York City, known for its classic American fare and prime location steps away from Central Park. I recently visited for a late weekend brunch, and while there were some highlights, a few aspects fell short of expectations. We were seated after a short wait despite having a reservation, and the ambiance was charming—warm lighting, white tablecloths, and a bustling yet comfortable atmosphere. The service was polite but felt a bit rushed and inattentive at times, likely due to how busy the restaurant was. We ordered three brunch staples: an omelet, avocado toast, and the classic hamburger. The omelet was light and fluffy, filled with cheese and vegetables, but the flavor was somewhat muted—it could have used a bit more seasoning. The avocado toast was beautifully presented, topped with ripe avocado, poached eggs, and a drizzle of lemon and olive oil. It was fresh and satisfying, though the portion felt a little small for the price. The standout was the hamburger—it arrived juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to our request, accompanied by crispy, golden fries that were a hit at the table. Prices were definitely on the higher end, even by NYC standards, which would be more justified if the food were slightly more memorable. That said, the Central Park South location does add to the appeal, especially for visitors who want a classic NYC brunch experience near major landmarks. Overall, Sarabeth’s offers a good brunch with some well-executed dishes and a prime location, but it might not live up to the hype for those seeking bold flavors or exceptional value. Worth trying once for the experience—but maybe not a go-to spot for regular weekend brunches.

What a wonderful experience! We went 2 days before Christmas for brunch (we booked reservations at least 2 months in advance) and got right into our table at reservation time while people who walked in were told there was at least an hour wait. It was decorated so nice for the holidays and had a cozy feel. The staff was top notch: professional, efficient and pleasant. And the food was fresh and amazing! We had the popovers (delish!), the French toast (amazing!), the kale bowl (fresh and yummy!), the quinoa bowl with eggs (delish!), and an omelette (also delish)). Plus, we got a side of the truffle fries. Truly a great experience from start to finish. Worth the higher price.

Excellent breakfast. The atmosphere is the show stealer here with flowers and greenery throughout. The food was delicious, especially the lemon ricotta pancakes. Coffee and lattes are also good.

What a great find!! We had a reservation at 10 AM and were immediately seated! Intimate table for 2, quick service for drink orders. The coffee was great! We both ordered the Farmer’s Omelette, shared a side of potatoes! SO SO good! Perfect start to our day to skip across the street and explore Central Park! It was also nice that we never felt rushed! The timing of everything, from drinks, food and the check at the end was so comfortable. Can’t wait to return next time we’re in town.
